After working for years as a copywriter in Milan, she moved to New England, where she was surprised by how familiar the white colonial villages felt—almost as if they were waiting to tell a story.
Vittoria lives with her husband, to whom she has been married for fifteen years, in a house with too many books and a garden that is larger than sensible. He calls her novels "research"; she calls his patience an inspiration.
